drastic dew descends–
drapes translucent daggers down;
defiant dogwood.
little flower shake–
the cold wind is upon you;
reason to survive.
frost clung to shadow,
thy last gasp hung ‘mid the air;
tempt not the winter.
frosted sickles hang,
menacing limbs glisten down;
wander not this wood.
murder sits on stone,
restless as the heart is night,
hasten not thy grave.
