Everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of the human freedoms–to choose one’s attitude in any given circumstance, to choose one’s own way.

Any man can, even under such circumstances, decide what shall become of him–mentally and spiritually.

However, the intelligent and high-principled individual is never wholly satisfied with what he is and what he has accomplished; he is continually striving to improve.
